STEAK WITH GARLIC CREAM SAUCE

Ingredients:

For the Steak:
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
For the Garlic Cream Sauce:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or dried thyme)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

the Steaks:
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).

Cook the Steaks:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, tented with foil to keep warm.

Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Continue to cook for another minute, stirring until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve:

Slice the steaks against the grain and serve topped with the creamy garlic sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley for a touch of color and added flavor.
Enjoy your delicious Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce! This dish pairs wonderfully with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
